Wanted: budding young actors! The New Vic is on the hunt for four budding young actors to take on roles in The Widowing of Mrs Holroyd. The theatre-in-the-round is looking for children to play the parts of Jack and Minnie Holroyd in its forthcoming production of the rarely performed DH Lawrence classic. Directed by Fiona Buffini, the production runs from 28 September to 13 October 2012 and paints a vivid picture of life in a mining village. Head of New Vic Education, Jill Rezzano, said: “This is a great opportunity for local youngsters who are able to give their commitment and time to this production - it will be a great experience to develop acting skills.” Auditions are set to take place on Saturday 30 June and Saturday 7 July 2012.
