From page to stage! Aspiring young actors have been battling against the clock this summer as part of a special New Vic holiday project. Youngsters from across Staffordshire have been working with the theatre’s Education team on the Play in a Week project which challenges budding performers to take a show from page to stage in just five days. Tackling Talking with Angels by Neil Duffield, a group of 15 have been getting down to business in rehearsals ahead of a performance in front of family and friends. David Reynolds, New Vic Youth Theatre Director, said: “Play in a Weekdoes exactly what it says on the tin! This year we’re working on Talking with Angels– it’s a beautiful, tragic play inspired by the life of Joan of Arc. “The youngsters have had to work really hard to learn their lines but they’ve all pulled together and it has been brilliant fun!”
