Borderlines wows the crowds! New Vic Borderlines has got into the sporting spirit by helping to kick off an international football tournament in style. The award-winning team, which works with some of Staffordshire’s most vulnerable people, created a host of puppets, costumes and banners for a procession celebrating the annual Keele Cup. The event saw Borderlines team up with hundreds of young people from 27 countries from across the globe New Vic Borderlines Practitioner Julianna Skarzynska said Borderlines participants and volunteers worked tirelessly beforehand to prepare for the procession. She said:“People from different Borderlinesprojects pulled together to take part and prepare for it and everyone had great fun making all the puppets and banners. “There were lots of children from all over the world carrying our creations– it was those children really brought the puppets to life.” Julianna added:“It was a great atmosphere on the night, there was a Samba band playing and everyone really got into the spirit of celebrating all the countries involved in the Keele Cup - it really made all the hard work worth it.”
