The New Vic Theatre has launched a regional talent search for budding young performers to appear in its production of Treasure Island this Christmas.
The theatre-in-the-round is looking for boys and girls aged from 9 to 14 to take part in a Summer School at the end of which a number will be offered places in the production.
Taking place from Tuesday 29 August to Saturday 2 September, the Summer School will see children work alongside industry creatives taking part in singing, dancing and activities.
Participants should be confident performers with strong dance and singing skills.
The deadline for applications to take part in the Summer School is 5pm on Friday 7 July. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. The cost for this Summer School is £80, concessions £60.
