Future Jobs Fund Vacancies

If you are currently unemployed but interested in joining a friendly and busy team then we want to hear from you.

We are looking for six individuals to support the smooth running of the following New Vic Theatre departments: Catering, Front of House, Workshop, Marketing/ Administration, Production and Borderlines.

Made possible through the Future Jobs Fund Scheme, the New Vic has the following vacancies available,

• Marketing/Administration Trainee (ref: HNY/8696)
  This role will assist the Marketing department with direct marketing campaigns and provide general office support to the Administrators within the Education, Borderlines and Administration Departments.
  

These posts are for six months for between 25 and 30 hours per week at minimum wage.

These opportunities will offer varied work and a chance to get involved with a range of activities.  No previous experience is necessary as full in-house training will be provided, but we will be looking for individuals with a keen interest in gaining experience in these areas.

All of these posts are funded through the Future Jobs Fund and therefore applicants must fit the following criteria.

For Trainee Practitioner

• Between the ages of 18 and 24 who have been claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) for around 39 to 50 weeks.
  

For Trainee Chef, Maintenance Assistant, Front of House Assistant, General Technical Assistant and Marketing/Admin Trainee

• Between the ages of 18 and 24 who have been claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) for around 39 to 50 weeks.
  
  or
   
• Be over 18, claiming JSA for around 39-50 weeks, but living in an unemployment hotspot.  North Staffordshire hot spots include the following wards
  
  Newcastle Under Lyme: Holditch, Newcastle Town, Cross Heath,
  Staffordshire Moorlands: Biddulph East.
  Stoke on Trent: Bentilee & Townsend, Burslem South,             Fenton, Blurton, Burslem North, Abbey Green, Berryhill & Hanley East, Stoke & Trent Vale, Weston & Meir North, Tunstall,             Hanley West & Shelton and Northwood & Birches Head.
