Become a volunteer

If you are interested in the Theatre and would like to get more involved, you may like to join our Front of House team as a Volunteer!

The New Vic Volunteers are local people with a love of theatre who give freely of their time to contribute in many ways within the Front of House Department.

Volunteers are vital members of the New Vic Team. The time and commitment that they continually give to the theatre is much appreciated.

Below are various items of information regarding volunteer’s duties.

Duties include

As part of our Front of House team there are a number of duties that need to be carried out to ensure a smooth running of a show and to make our patron’s evening a memorable one. Front of House duties include;

	Auditorium duties – welcoming patrons and showing them to their seats
	Programme sales
	Theatre Shop Sales
	Sweet shop – pre show and interval
	Assisting catering staff in the restaurant in the interval
	Leaflet distribution

You’ll also be supporting the theatre, helping to spread the word, to raise money and to encourage others to enjoy the work of one of the country’s most respected theatres.
