To mark the SJT’s 60th anniversary, Alan Ayckbourn returns to the new Vic with a revival of one of his most popular plays. “Sharp, sad and funny” (The Guardian), Confusions was last seen at the Library Theatre, Scarborough, in 1974.


Hero's Welcome

Remarkably, Hero’s Welcome is Alan Ayckbourn’s 79th play. Most are first performed at his home theatre in Scarborough and then, because of our special relationship with the great writer, here at the New Vic. It’s a real privilege.

Robin Hood & Marian

For the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta, the New Vic has adapted the Robin Hood legends for family audiences. Brought to stage by the brilliant creative team behind The Borrowers, and The Hundred and One Dalmatians.
