Alix Dunmore

Alix trained as an actor at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and first came to the Stephen Joseph Theatre to play Andy in Stepping Out in 2019.   She started learning how to be an Accent Coach in 2012 and has been doing both ever since.

Her work as a coach encompasses theatre, including Stags (Off Main Stage); The Offing (Stephen Joseph Theatre); Holes (Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds) and The Great Gatsby (Hartshorn Hook); television including Everything I Know About Love (BBC); and film including The Age of Tony (Sky); Nightjars (SJT Productions) and The Performance (TP Films).  She works extensively with private students and continues to use her own range of accent skills in myriad audiobooks and video games.

Alix has had great fun working with the wonderful team on Jane Eyre, talking about West Yorkshire, French, Northeast and Jamaican accents, and is very excited to see the finished production – she hopes you love it too.
