Join international performer and Philip Astley expert Andrew Van Buren on a guided walk taking in Newcastle-under-Lyme’s key, old and new, Philip Astley landmarks.

Discover the amazing story of how Philip Astley went from humble beginnings in Newcastle-under-Lyme, to drawing out the first circus ring in 1768 and filling it with astonishing acts, creating the worldwide phenomenon that captured the hearts of millions across the world.

Hear all about Andrew Van Buren’s journey to getting recognition for our town’s born and bred circus hero, alongside tales of his own life growing up in the world of showbusiness!
