2025 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Arthur Berry, Stoke-on-Trent’s famous poet, painter, playwright and oatcake extoller – the ‘Lowry of the Potteries’ whose artistry and storytelling continue to make big impressions on people from all backgrounds.
This special centenary year presented a unique opportunity to honour the artist’s legacy and explore the profound impact of his work.
With events that happened across the year including exhibitions, performances, discussions and more, audiences were invited to engage with the life and creativity of a man whose art and words have inspired generations.
