Ralph McTell

Fri 24 Apr

Virtuoso guitarist and gifted songwriter, Ralph McTell brings his unique brand of pointed, empathetic songs to the New Vic for the very first time.

Celebrating more than 50 years on the road and fresh from the success of his recent album Hill of Beans, the fabled singer-songwriter and music legend continues on his journey with a style that has served him so well.

He is an Ivor Novello Award-winner, best known for his 1974 smash-hit The Streets of London (which has been covered over 200 times by other artists) and his tale of Irish emigration, From Clare To Here.

In 2002 he was presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
