NEW VIC BORDERLINES GROUPS IN FULL FESTIVE SPIRIT

NEW VIC BORDERLINES GROUPS IN FULL FESTIVE SPIRIT

30th December 2025

Celebrating a year of creative triumphs, three New Vic Borderlines groups marked the culmination of their year by sharing festive themed performances throughout December.

Inspired by the New Vic’s Christmas show The Little Mermaid, Strathcross, a community group for adults with learning difficulties, presented a festive treat A Fish Out Of Water on the main stage. Drawing inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale, the group performed their own under-the-sea adventure story for friends and family, providing a fitting finale to their exciting 2025.

The Young People’s Theatre Company, which gives young people who have been part of previous Borderlines projects a chance to continue pursuing performing arts longer-term, also continued the underwater theme as they took to the main stage to present their own performance inspired by The Little Mermaid which involved plenty of action, puppetry and face painting!

Further embracing the festive spirit, the Next Chapter group (and their pets!), decked the Workspace with boughs of holly and enjoyed a Christmas games night filled with plenty of laughs and mince pies.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all involved!
