This festive season, David Graham Productions’ legendary character ‘Eric’ returns to the New Vic with a new show, Spend, Spend, Spend Eric, opening onMonday 30 November and running until Saturday 12 December.
Set to a superb live soundtrack featuring plenty of audience favourites from the swinging ’60s, in Spend Spend Spend Eric, David Graham Productions’ much-loved character ‘Eric’ finds himself out of pocket, just in time for Christmas. Things are looking bleak but surely it’s time his luck changed – and, for once, it does. Eric wins the football pools and he and loyal partner Bev immediately host a special Christmas party to celebrate. However, they have both made their win public knowledge in a big way and the party attracts one or two uninvited guests.
Renowned for his comedic capers and foot-tapping musical shows, David Graham Productions’ latest Eric escapade features non-stop comedy, larger-than-life characters and an outstanding live soundtrack that makes for the perfect pre-Christmas night out.
David Graham, producer and star of the ‘Eric’ shows, said: “Eric has checked his football pools coupon. There were only eight draws on the previous Saturday and he picked them all. The prize money is going to be £100,000. Both Eric and Bev are of a mind to ‘spend, spend, spend’ and are starting off with a lavish celebration party at the local Golf Club with an invitation list full of local civic dignitaries and celebrities. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. Hold on, this is an Eric show. Change that to ‘everything’.
