A New Vic production

Written and performed by Caroline Horton, directed by Yngvild Aspeli

A funny, inspiring solo performance about underdogs and Midlands’ spirit from an Olivier Award nominee and Edinburgh Fringe favourite.

Mercia’s an under performer; average with self-confidence issues. But look closer and she’s as old as the hills, strong as an ox and a bit of a dark horse. She’s got a grin on her face cos she’s decided to tell her story and show us the treasure she’s been holding so close to her chest.
