When idealistic and impetuous Harry Trench meets the beautiful heiress Blanche Sartorius by the banks of the Rhine, it’s love at first sight. They simply have to marry! And, no sooner than her father confirmed Harry’s aristocratic credentials, then the lovers’ plans are approved and the congratulations roll in.
But, back in England, Harry is appalled to discover the truth abut his future father-in-law. He finds himself forced to choose – will it be the girl of his dreams? Or will his sense of honour mean that he and Blanche must part forever?
