David Graham Productions’ legendary character ‘Eric’ returns to the New Vic later this year with two brilliant new shows. Eric In Downtown Abbey and Spend, Spend, Spend Eric are filled with lots of laughter and sensational musical merriment and see the return of a much-loved character to the New Vic stage.
Eric In Downtown Abbey opens at the theatre on Saturday 22 August until Saturday 5 September and transports audiences into the remote Staffordshire countryside where Eric and his loyal partner Bev have found work in a run-down stately home. However, when household treasures start to go missing the new arrivals soon find themselves in trouble with the other staff members. Is Eric guilty of the thefts? Can Bev win the landowners over with her veal and chocolate pie? Will there be plenty of ’60s hits played through the evening? The answers to these questions are ‘maybe’, ‘no’ and ‘yes’ – but not necessarily in that order!
Embracing the festive spirit, Spend, Spend, Spend Eric! sees Eric and Bev host a Christmas party like no other in celebration of Eric winning big in the football pools. However, they have both made their win public knowledge and the party attracts one or two undesirables. What could possibly go wrong? Knowing Eric… everything! Filled with ’60s hits galore and non-stop comedy, ‘Eric’ and his friends take to the stage for Christmas from Monday 30 November to Saturday 12 December 2026.
