Kayleigh directs new-writing and classic reinterpretations, focusing on breaking down barriers to the arts. She is an associate artist with HER Productions and co-founder of Unseemly Shakespeare, an initiative increasing local opportunities for female and non-binary artists within classics. She was long-listed for the JMK Directors’ Award in 2020 and 2023.

Director credits include: Twelfth Night (co-director – HER Productions, The Dukes / Lawrence Batley / Hope Mill); LEAR (Shakespeare North Playhouse & Hope Mill); Much Ado About Nothing (Shakespeare North Playhouse & Hope Mill); Lost (HOME – Push Festival); Best Girl (The Dukes, Lancaster / Pleasance Courtyard – shortlisted for the Les Enfants Terribles Award); Hamlet (Hope Mill); Purge (Lowry Studio & Oldham Coliseum); Romeo & Juliet (Hope Mill); The Loves of Others (53Two – GM Fringe Award for Best Comedy Play); REACT – The Blazing World (Royal Exchange).

Associate / Assistant Director credits include: A Christmas Fair (Oldham Coliseum & Not Too Tame); Gods of Salford (Not Too Tame & The Lowry – 25th Anniversary); Rich Kids: A History of Shopping Malls in Tehran dir. Kayleigh has also worked as a director and facilitator for young people, community groups and actors in training at LIPA, Rose Bruford, Barbican, Proper Job Theatre, Royal Exchange, and HOME.
