New Vic hold vigil to mark one year since the start of the Ukraine war

23rd February 2023

On Friday 24 February, New Vic Borderlines will be holding a vigil in the theatre’s Peace Garden to mark one year since the start of the Ukraine war.

The vigil has been organised in association with local Ukrainian groups. During the day, the team will be at the Ukrainian Association in Newcastle-under-Lyme at 43-45 Merrial Street, where visitors will have the opportunity to take part in craftwork activities including paper flower making. Participants will then make their way to the New Vic’s Peace Garden from 6.00pm, where a vigil will take place to mark the anniversary of the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Anybody wishing to attend is welcome to join at any stage of the day.
