LATEST JMK WORKSHOP EXPLORES ‘WORKING WITH ACTORS’

28th January 2020

Working with Actors, Saturday 22 February, 2-6pm, New Vic Theatre

JMK‘s latest workshop at the New Vic offers the opportunity to work with actors and witness the director’s process. Director Heather Carroll, accompanied by two actors, will lead a session to help directors find their voice.

Participants are invited to bring a scene for one to two characters that they are interested in looking at with the actors. This might be something from a project currently being pursued, or simply a moment from a favourite play. Attendees are requested to bring two copies and ensure the scene is around three pages long.

Heather is co-founder of troublehouse theatre and Actors Workshop Manchester, which are free workshops for professional actors. She is currently working on Insane Animals at HOME Theatre.  She is also an Associate Artist and Director for Actors for Human Rights. Heather has worked with various venues in Manchester, alongside her work with the National Theatre, Kiln Theatre, Live Theatre and with RashDash.

If you’d like a book place on the workshop please email admin@newvictheatre.org.uk. If you do not having printing facilities available then please send a word doc or PDF of your script to above email by Wednesday 19 February. Places are free but limited.
