Mary studied English and Drama at the University of Birmingham, staying on in the city to work at the Birmingham Rep in a variety of backstage and on-stage jobs.

She studied for her MA in Voice Studies at the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1999, and now works as a voice and speech teacher at a variety of London drama schools.

She has provided accent coaching for many companies, including Fox, Marvel, the Royal Court, Birmingham Rep, Salisbury Playhouse, The Bush, Manchester Royal Exchange, Out of Joint, Mischief Theatre Company, as well as Shakespeare’s Globe, and has also coached for the BBC.

Her private clients have worked in shows including: Thor: the Dark World, Tyrant, 24 Reboot, Daredevil, The Devil’s Violinist, and The Secret Agent.
