Free auditions for 18 – 25 year olds taking place at the New Vic
Through Regional Young Actors Ensemble, an initiative between three partner venues, Derby Theatre, Live Theatre Newcastle and Hull Truck Theatre, young people aged between 18 and 25 years old are being given the opportunity to audition at the New Vic on Wednesday 19 April.
Supported by Hull UK City of Culture, the Regional Young Actors Ensemble project aims to provide a group of young people with the vocational training to help them to develop a career in acting
For successful applicants who make it through to the audition stage, each partner venue will host a series of residencies, including an intensive programme of masterclasses, devising and rehearsing for performance. Travel, accommodation and food will be provided at no cost to the participants on the programme.
As part of the programme, the ensemble will present and perform a piece as part of the Hull UK City of Culture 2017, celebrations which will be directed by Sarah Brigham, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Derby Theatre.

Application deadline to audition at the New Vic is Friday 14 April. Applications will then be shortlisted and successful applicants will be contacted with an audition time for at the New Vic on Wednesday 19 April.
