“Tis The Season of Goodwill”

“Tis The Season of Goodwill”

3rd December 2015

On Sunday 29 November New Vic Borderlines led a parade as part of the Newcastle-under-Lyme Christmas Lights switch-on.

The parade was a huge success with some incredibly inventive trolleys being pushed and pulled around by reindeer, angels, three wise men and even a little Santa sat in his sleigh!

There were 16 differently decorated trolleys parading through the centre of town, some great fancy dress and a brilliant atmosphere. People are already having ideas about how to decorate their trolleys for next year!

The drummers from 1st St Andrews Porthill Scout group lead the way and kept us all in time with Santa and the Town Crier not far behind.

“What an amazing parade. It was fab and the young people really enjoyed themselves,” Neil Keighery, Boys Brigade

We had an overwhelming amount of donations for the foodbank which have been greatly received, so a huge THANK YOU goes to anyone who donated items.

We are setting our sights on a bigger and better parade next year!
