Described as “the Temptations in ripped jeans ……” by one rock critic, Liverpool band The Christians stormed the charts in the late 80s with their infectious melodies and warm harmonies.
Their 1987 triple-platinum debut album, The Christians entered the album chart at No.2 and featured the Top 30 singles Forgotten Town, Hooverville, Ideal World and Born Again.
Their biggest hit followed the year after when they released a cover of the Isley Brothers’ Harvest for the World, with all proceeds going to British Third-World charities.
And now, following a hugely successful tour supporting Level 42, The Christians are making their New Vic debut with an acoustic set featuring all of their greatest hits.
