The Big Feast – Stoke-on-Trent’s biggest FREE outdoor arts festival returns this August bank holiday!

20th August 2025

New Vic led Appetite’s much-craved festival, The Big Feast, returns to Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre (Hanley) this bank holiday weekend from 11am-5pm on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 August.

Bringing an abundance of colour, energy and imagination to the city, this year’s programme features a vibrant mix of professional dance, acrobatic and musical performances alongside interactive games, craft workshops, art exhibitions, meditative sessions and much more. Whether you are dancing along to a BoomBike in Piccadilly, seeking a restful moment in Bethesda Chapel or sharing a Virtual Reality experience at Smithfield, The Big Feast offers something for everyone.

The Big Feast programme has been carefully curated by local voices – Appetite’s community decision makers and Supper Club members who are committed to making the experience as welcoming, inclusive and accessible as possible. With the overall aim to create lasting memories for all who come along, The Big Feast will turn the city streets into joyful spaces of connection, creativity and celebration.

Appetite Director Rachel Adams said:

“At Appetite, we believe everyone should have access to creativity and culture. That’s why The Big Feast is free, welcoming and bursting with variety – there’s something here for everyone.

“Whether you want to be wowed, uplifted, moved or simply entertained, we hope this year’s programme brings a little more colour and joy to your day. This is YOUR Big Feast, and we’re glad you’re part of it.”

The Big Feast is free to attend – find out more about what’s on offer across the weekend and plan your visit by here. Find out more about our Appetite programme here.
